Based in Austin, Texas, Accilabs built NowAccident to help people across the United States stay oriented after a traffic accident and build a clear record before the details fade.
Our name reflects the work: practical research and digital tools that help people respond to traffic accidents with greater clarity.
We began this research after seeing how often people had to reconstruct a crash from memory. In the stress of the moment, names, times, locations, visible damage, physical symptoms, and conversations get missed or forgotten — and those gaps make it harder to explain what happened later.
NowAccident is a free accident-recordkeeping service. It gives you one place to capture the first facts at the scene, add repair and care information over time, and produce a PDF when you need one. It is free to use.
Safety comes first
Crashes range from minor property damage to life-threatening emergencies. Move away from danger only when it is safe, and call 911 when anyone may be injured — before you begin recording.
Memory is not a filing system
Record what you can while the scene is fresh: when and where it happened, the people and vehicles involved, visible damage, photos, and what you noticed about your body.

NowAccident is designed for people traveling by car, motorcycle, bicycle, e-scooter, truck, rideshare, or any other road vehicle. Whether the crash is minor or severe, the first job is the same: protect people, then preserve the facts you can safely collect. Do not try to complete everything at the scene — short, factual notes are enough to begin, and you can return when you are safe.
Why the record matters
An organized record helps you describe the loss to an insurer and keeps your documents ready for your own review. It does not decide fault, coverage, or compensation — it reduces how much you have to rely on memory alone.
